Staying focus
One of the hardest things I've come across during this assignment is finding the time to meditate, but once you get started it's all deep breathing and relaxing from there on. Another thing is you don't want to go into it thinking you're gonna meditate for 30 minutes straight because that probably will not happen. It's literally a kind of skill that you have to sort of train your mind to do. It's easy to be distracted and if you find yourself not able to focus, take a break and try to come back to it later.
Success to me is any experience that you've learned something or accomplished a desired goal.Success is even when you don't accomplish what you want, but you're able to take away the knowledge that will help you complete the task in the future. I've been successful in my academics and athletics. By getting an A on my last Calculus test or by scoring the game winning goal in a soccer game.
Failure is when you don't even try to accomplish a task. In this last trimester looking at my grades showing that I haven't putting forth my full effort. Senioritis is the reason for my failure.
"You've only failed when you stop trying."

With Practice comes Relaxation
With the more time I spend meditating, the easier it is and the longer I can go. Also, with the more I practice the easier it gets to focus and block out distracting thoughts. But some days are harder than others to concentrate, depending on the events of that day. Meditation definitely gets easier though with the more time you put into it and the more consistent you use the relaxing remedy.

New Meditation App - Calm
Calm is a good app to use for Meditating. It has many features including a voice talking to help guide you through it. Very useful for those that are just starting out meditating. Also has timers, relaxing melodies, nature sounds and background images. I highly recommend the usage of this app. It can be accessed on your smart phone and online.

1st Meditation
I Meditated for the first time today and it was a truly relaxing. I found a "nature sound" app that plays a lot of relaxing music and sounds of nature. I thought that my first experience went well and I was at a real relaxed state and lost track of time. I need to work on my breathing and casting out any distracting thoughts. I look to lengthen the time I spend meditating and work on going to a deeper state of relaxation.
